I ordered one of the above saddles for my youngster in May and was told it would only take 2 weeks for the order to arrive.

4 weeks later and I hadn't had a call so called the saddler who said he had had trouble with his computer so couldn't send the photos and drawings he took to the Saddle company but came and fitted a 2nd hand one to her that I could use in the meantime ( no charge ).

Well this must have been a good 6 weeks ago now and still I haven't had a call to arrnge for the new saddle to be fitted.

I called the saddler today who said that The Saddle Company have moved and they are behind on their orders, not a problem I said but a call to say as much would have been nice. I also explained that I had another horse that needed one fitting and due to the wait I am thinking of cancelling my order and going elswhere.

So he takes my number (for the 4th time) and agrees to call me back and let me know how long it will be. Its now 19:45 and I haven't heard a thing from him.
To say I am not pleased is an understatement. Yes I have a saddle to use but its only a 17" and I need an 18" so its not ideal and I don't feel comfy in it.

Any one had any dealings with Saddle company Saddlers - how long did your orders take to come? Getting a bit annoyed now as cant wait 10 weeks for a saddle for the new horse!!

Usually, I've only waited 2-3 weeks but I've always dealt directly with Dave, who makes them! lol

I think once they were flooded out & it took 5 or 6 weeks but that is the only time I've had to really wait I think!

I'd knock it on the head. I had my new saddler come out on Monday I had to wait four weeks through recommendation. She was with me 3 hours and the saddle will be six weeks.

I know nothing about saddlery except how expensive it is but one thing I'm sure of is perfection will take time. Though this is poor customer service...go elsewhere

I suspect it depends on the business relationship your supplier has with the manufacturer. Last January I ordered two Saddle Company dressage saddles and they were with my retailer within 10 days.

i got mine fitted and had it that day...but maybe different saddle company??? i think it was called the national saddle company but hey!!!

I suspect that its your retailer to blame.. not the saddle company.. i dealt with them only 10 days ago, i phoned them for some help about my saddle co saddle, and can only say how efficient and helpful they were.... the lady that came to fit my saddle (gill tremill) was with me for 1 and a half hours and was a world of knowledge and adjusted my saddle for me and watched me ride in it also.,

go to a different saddle co stockist or deal with them direct is my advice..

i had mine fitted by gill too, fabulous service and saddle took only 10 days to arrive.

Can you give me contact details? I'm not sure if she would come as far as me though. I have emailed the Saddle Company as I really need to know whats going on!!

Ok so i've worked out whats going on.
Got intouch with The Saddle Company and it turns out that the saddler I have been using has not paid his bills and is in dispute with them. They will not be supplied with any more saddles and the order for my saddle was never placed.
Its very annoying as I have paid out £70 to get this saddle fitted which would have been refunded on full payment of the saddle.
So I am now on the look out for a Saddle Company fitter near me, any recomendations?
