does anyone have one of these saddles??

I've had mine about 4 months now and i've only just mastered balance in it

Is it just me?! ive never been an unbalanced rider before but ive really struggled with this saddle. for the first week or so i looked like a beginner i was all over the place in trot. i also fell off soon after getting it when jumping which ive only done once before in the last few years (which of course i blame the saddle for

)

i used to be fine in my wintec but get quite a sore bum / lower back if i ride for more than 1.5 hours in the verona which isnt like me.
Gotta stick with it anyway as its best for my pony, i'm sure it will get more comfy with time [i hope!]

i think i saw a thread on here a while ago about saddle company saddles being quite uncomfy i just wondered what other people who have them think

I had one and found 17 the seat too small - so i got rid and got a 17.5" in the GP, loads better!!!

I think the seats are quite small, could that have something to do with it? I can ride ina 16.5 in a wintec but need the 17.5 in a Saddle Co.

I have one but had to get a 16'' seat to fit the pony (quite a short back) when I need a 17-17.5''. Consequently I can't shorten my stirrups enough for jumping or my knee comes off the front. I have to live with it though! My own fault for having a pony I guess!
I've found it pretty comfy though, more so for flatwork than jumping. Although I managed to fall off 2 times in the space of a month a little while ago while jumping- once in the ring and once warming up just before being called to go in! Previously I'd not fallen off the pony at all while jumping, and like you the saddle was newish at the time. Maybe I can blame the saddle or maybe just my bad riding lol.

I have the Verona Cob saddle (square cantle).

I ride for 3 - 4 hours at a time in it and I have found it to be the most comfortable saddle I've ever sat in. I don't use a seat bone saver with it as it doesn't need it.

I went to the factory a couple of weeks ago. Was most upset to learn they make them with memory foam seats now. I'd have had that for sure, even though it's already comfy without it.

Have you had the fitting checked? Mine sits really level on Patches, but I must admit that the saddle flaps are very straight cut. I can't ride short as it's uncomfortable for my knees on the flexiblocks. When I went to the factory, I picked up some pony saddle blocks as they're smaller.

I have two. I have a 16" on the section B (the seat is a bit small though but OK for my 5ft daughter) and I have just bought a new 16.5" for the Sec D x ( She is 14.2ish and I am 5ft 6" but a bit skinny with a bony bum). We always jump with the knee blocks in - very hairy without!! but i find them really comfy to ride in. I had a horse fall on me a couple of years ago and suffered pelvic injury and this is the only saddle that I find comfy and can walk when i get off!!
Have you had it rechecked by a saddle fitter since you bought it they usually need checking after about three months?

I have one. Don't find it particularly comfortable & like you had problems adjusting my balance to begin with, my legs felt all over the place (& they wander quite a bit to begin with anyway). But it is lighter and better suited to my horse who is an old man now so isn't going to be jumping 3ft any more, so am sticking with it & have got more used to it now.

Used to have a Farringtons working hunter saddle for him which I much preferred!

Chris_Rabbit i am the same, pony is 13.1 im 5ft2 so saddle is 16 or 16.5 cant remember now but it was the biggest she could take and although it is big enough for me really its probably part of the reason im uncomfortable as the seat is quite small, smaller than me 16.5 wintec was.

Ive just got mine the verona Wh and i love it,it puts my legs in a better position and i dont find it uncomfortable at all and my horse is going a lot better too.
