I recently brought my horse, and his currently using my old mare's saddle which fits him really well (I've had it checked) but its an old synthetic and really looking quite tatty friends of mine have had Kay Humpheries out who I was really impressed with but can't imagine that I would be able to afford one of her saddles for a good few months even with the old credit card another friend bought a saddle from a local saddlers which is also very nice and I could probably afford that in the next month or so, what would you do, get a cheaper one or save up for what you really want and just accept that you have a very useable saddle at the moment just a tad on the tatty side? Also, does anyone know when the best time to have a saddle fitted? Someone said to me in the Spring when they have their rugs off and a bit of sun on their back?? How true is that?
