Saddle faded!

Anyone else out there had problems with leather fading?

I have a black Sue Carson saddle which is now 3 years old, and have noticed that the seat, and especially the cantle has faded to a rather nasty greeny-grey. It wears its cover in the tack room and is never left out over a door or in the sun.

Not so much of a problem, just a shame that it has faded!

Some black leathers do indeed fade to that sort of greeny grey, another reason why I love dark brown leather, even for my dressage saddle . You would hope that a saddle that expensive would have leather that woudn't fade though...might be worth telling them you are disappointed.
