Help
Have been having a few problems with my ponies back, i do get him treated by a chiropractor but the last couple of times his back has been worse than before.
Chiropractor today asked to see his saddle on him and when she pointed it out, it was easy to see that the saddle is too long on him.
I don't know why i didn't see it myself but to be honest i trusted my saddler.
I could understand it being too wide/narrow but he hasn't shrunk in the last couple of years.
Pony is only 14.1hh and quite short backed but i'm only just over 5ft.
Chiropractor says i could use a rear riser but for the amount of money my saddle cost i did expect it to fit, plus i would like to do more showing with him and would rather not have to rely on a pad under the saddle.
I'm not really sure what to do? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Will get the saddler out as soon as i can but not sure what i'm going to say to him.
Oh but i do totally trust my chiropractor, she also a trained vet and the difference she has already made to Roger and other horses i know is amazing.
