I've used Mr Baxter from Throstle Nest and Byron Wood from Retford Saddlery in the past. Both are good although Retford don't offer fitting on 2nd hand saddles, I don't think.
Others may recommend Sammy from Parklands - personally my experiences of him haven't been that great.
Solution saddles are based in Workshop, they do only fit their own saddles but their fitters are excellent.
As an aside, it made me laugh, when I read about Mr Baxter, from Throstle Nest, as I guess you meant David, I was taught to ride by his dad, who was always known as Mr.
Thanks guys.
I rang Debbie yesterday who has nothing in my price range at the moment, but was very lovely and helpful.
It's David from Throstlenest who came to check my saddle (originally from Sammy at Parklands a couple of years ago) and said its no good, but they don't have anything in that'd fit - and it's been almost 6 weeks of me calling weekly since then 🙈
Will have a look into the Worksop one, thanks 😊
Slowly resigning myself to the fact that I may have to buy a band new saddle and live off rations for a while!
Second vote for Theresa from me- have used her for years on various horses and she's great for second hand too and not very far away- alfreton I think?
