saddle fitters in scotland ?

since there seems to be stories about all saddle fitters, does anyone know of any good saddle fitters in scotland ? had Donald Mclellan but wasn't very impressed, have heard Shirley Justice Vose the scottish side saddle fitter is meant to be quite good as well as stirlingshire saddlery, has anyone used any of them before ?

Stirlingshire Saddlery are brilliant - can really recommend - Alene or her colleague come with lots of saddles to try and take their time getting the right one for you and your horse depending on what discipline you want to do - wouldn't have anyone else!

Another vote for Stirlingshire saddlery.

Could have sold me a very expensive saddle but confirmed mine actually fitted very well I just had too much padding underneath it.

Very honest of them as I'm a sucker for the smell of new leather!

wouldn't touch anyone in Scotland

had problems with a fair few & no i get someone who does saddle company saddles, he travels from England once a month to Scotland & is fantastic

avoid stirlingshire !!

would never use them again after having 2 saddles from them and horse checked 3 times in 4 months and ending up with one very very sore horse due to badly fitting saddles!

Also know other people who have had her out and saddles have been badly fitted.

I have used Stirlingshire and found them ok, but would whole heartedly recommend Kay Hastilow. She is based in Fife, but will travel down as far as Stirling if thats any help.

Another vote for out sourcing from the south, I have never found anyone up here who is half decent compared to what one can access down south!
