SADDLE FITTING SERVICE

am wondering who has had experience with saddle fitter(s) in tyne and wear area?
I’ve just recently getting a new horse and unfortunately no tack came with him, he needs reschooling too.am after a saddle fitter to come out and let me know of what size is correct for my horse, he is still a bit jumpy at times, and i myself have never dealt with a saddler fitter and dont want to be ripped off or worse still and bad fitting saddle for my new little man. thanks in advance for any help info.

I've used a few saddlers in Tyne and Wear and many are unqualified so that may be something you want to check out first. Check out http://www.mastersaddlers.co.uk/ you will be surprised how many saddler and fitters are not on the list. Andy wheals is very popular but I don't know if he sells saddle, he's an excellent fitter though.

Yeah Andy sells saddles and makes them. He made my jump saddle which is fab

John from Northumbrian saddlery or Chris from Jobsons - wouldn't touch most of the others!

After watching Chris from Jobsons fit a saddle a few days ago he'll be the one I go to from now on as I was very impressed at the thoroughness of the fitting and how he was genuinely interested in the horse and what you felt like in the saddle.
