Ive decided to start trying new dressage saddles on Gin as Im convinced the one she has now isnt a perfect fit. She has an albion K2 MW which I think is slightly too wide as it slips an inch or 2 forward when she is working, tipping the seat slightly back. Ive borrowed my friends Albion SLK which is a wide fit but is much narrower than my K2. It fits her nicely and sits well on her back but when I did 10 mins in the school it also looked to slip forward slightly but the seat was still level.
All of the dressage saddles I have tried have done this. Gin has got big movement and has a lot of movement through her back and im starting to think this is why all saddles move.

Has anyone else experienced this with their horses? How did you overcome it?

have you had your saddler out to re-fit your albion? Thats what i did with Blossys when it wasnt fitting properly and tipping me forwards. He just took it away, reflocked it out a bit and put in felt inserts inside the panels so it fitted her withers better.

G's slip forward if it is even slightly too far forward in the first place. He has a huge shoulder, and I think it kind of drags the saddle forward. If you sit it slightly further back, you may see an improvement?
