Hi, I'm just going to start backing my 4 year old cob he is 13.2 th and quid short in the back. I have been looking at interchangeable gullet saddles and treeless. What are everyones thoughts please. Thank you

For my cob have a thorowgood T4 cob saddle which has an interchangeable gullet. Lovely and comfortable and you can move girth straps and knee and thigh rolls to suit.
My 4yo went from a med/wide to wide/x.wide in a year so was great to be able to adjust instead of buy a new one

Take a look at Ghost treeless saddles, they're very adjustable and, what is not unimportant, affordable.

I used a Thorowgood with interchangeable gullet for backing (no mileage) and then for his 5th birthday he got fitted for a new saddle and the saddler recommended the Kent and Masters GPD (interchangeable gullets), very lightweight, fits him well, gets checked each year by the saddler.
