So ive bought myself a cracking welsh cob but im having a problem, every saddle we have tried is too narrow....even an xxw!! Hes the chunkiest welshy ive come across. my question is, apart from the native pony saddles is there any other make that would suit a wide horse? Thanks in advance.

I currently have an Ideal for my native - I also just need another wider one now and I really want another Ideal, just in extra wide.
I think Forester saddles are also made for native types as well.....

Ideal highland and cob are fab. Native pony saddles also good! Find someone with a highland, they will tell you the woes !

Dare I ask if there is an issue with NP saddles for you? We are now a separate company and are at a new black and gold themed website and not the other company that makes similar sounding saddles.

I want to suggest a diet ;)

If you mean wither-less and flat backed, it's worth trying the suggestions above.

I have a Kent and masters cob which is the same design as thorowgood cob except the TG is synthetic, they have adjustable gullets which come in a wide range of sizes, my haffy is XW at about her smallest.
