Could I have some recommendations please!

I need a close contact jumping saddle for my very high withered horse. Could I have some recommendations- Jaguar and Amerigo are not cut away enough at the pommel and the panels don't suit him. We are PN this year and my old close contact no longer fits.

- I have put this in the comp section as I want to know what you guys think!
Thanks K

Yup he has a prominent spine- I am not sure how to put piccies on here - I have some on face book, how do I put them on here too!!!!- I am so rubbish with computers!
I would like to get the best quality I can - I have to sell the Jag first too which I am also confused about. I have had 3 quotes for selling it 1 person said £850 but she wants 20% cut (!!!) another said £1100 and today a local saddle fitter recond £500 so who knows!

What about Keiffer- I have always had Devoucoux/Amerigo or similar but they just don't suit this horse....I will see if I can get some Albions to try. I have always been wary of Wow saddles, wander if they might be any good.
Thanks for your help.

keiffer also bulky

Amerigos normally suit high withers!! As M said, the Ideals are lovely, but may not be as CC as you want....Prestige?

Ah prestige- that could be an idea! I like the Ideal GP's and have had a few for hunting in, will investigate them too. I only mentioned Keiffer as they have a nice cut away head but yeah they are quite chunky. I really must get some photos on here.... (will work on it)

Kieffer have crap resale value too

Excelle are from the Ideal factory now and will make to order if you want a single flap...Barnsby are worth a look too, lovely saddles and infinitely adjustable by a good saddler....

I am a bit cautious about Barnsby, I had same horse in a Barnsby narrow and it was a bit narrow in the gullet. However I used to jump JA's in them and loved em. I am starting to think that it might be easier to get rid of the horse lol!

Have you looked at a WOW saddle? Head plates, seat, flaps all changeable so even as your horse changes shape your saddle will fit. You can have fixed or removeable knee rolls, if you are very leggy they will make longer flaps, you can have saddle made from leather or suede or leather and suede! It really must be the most versatile saddle on the market and it allows your horse freedom of movement so they can always perform to the best of their ability. Well worth looking at.

I have a barnsby CC for sale (orginal milton jump) lovely saddle (plug plug lol!!)

i have a prestige which i love got brought for xmas ermmm ideals are worth a try i really like my ideal gp that i have for my pony!

oooh i know what are really cut away at the pommel (thinking bout my dressage saddle) Passier!!! ...... worth a look

I have just got Saf a new saddle and one of the many I tried was the William Fox Pitt single flap Albion can't remember its name but it did not suit Saf as she does not have a prominant wither but might suit yours?

Antares *swoons* oohh I would love one of those...
I bought a Jefferies Elite CC saddle which has fitted several high withered horses quite well. The best thing about it is although it's essentially a cc jumping saddle, the flaps are straighter cut, like a french saddle, making it great for all disciplines

Antares- are they similar to Devoucoux? I quite like the look of the Jefferies, but I guess the key is to get a load in and see how they are on his back. I am going to try and take some piccies of his back and also topline today and if I can work it out I will pop some on here.

Yeah they are quite similar to devoucoux. Much nicer leather though and seem to fit TBs better. Absolutely love mine. The comfiest thing i have ever sat on and I have tried many many saddles!
