I'm losing my mind. I thought I'd be safe sticking to one brand that I know fits my mare, Albion.

Having bought three different albion models, none of them fitting her, I'm getting ready to pack it in. I even bought a Saint Lourdes and that didn't fit either.

I'm at my final attempt. my saddler thinks it's a good fit. I checked BEFORE I put money down this time, lessons learned and all that. anyways, blah blah blah

the winner here is the Fabrento!

please could someone let me know if they have had the fabrento, do you like it?

for reference my mare has high withers but a wide back and a "barrel" (bless her)

any other winners around the £1.5k mark (or lower ideally!!!) please let me know.

we are currently working at an intro level, so if anyone would like to knock some sense into me, please by all means. I kid, I do need a dressage shape, both for her shoulder and for my leg, being vertically challenged and riding long. I'm not just stabbing in the dark, I do genuinely need something better suited for us both than my K2 GP.

THANK YOU

I have ridden a lot in one, super comfortable but it didn't suit me at all. I found the blocks were in an odd place and made me feel like I couldn't ride at all! Rider who bought it loves it but when I watch him his legs are always on top of the knee blocks!

thanks so much for this, do you ride particularly long? I can't ride anyway to be fair haha

I bought one second hand and then sold it shortly after. My horse is somewhat broad, short backed, but has a long and high withers. His back is more flat than curvy. We just couldn't get it to fit right on him. It wasn't terrible, but not right. I was comfortable enough, but couldn't quite get my leg underneath me as I would've liked. So off it went. Some people, or probably most people, have better luck than I do ?

I would generally prefer to ride shorter than longer (although am used to riding in many different dressage saddles) but the very fixed blocks didn't allow me much choice in length. I could sit to canter beautifully in it but then flopped around trying to rise or sit to trot ?
