Saddle Help - Amerigo / Albion Kontrol Ultima Jump wanted / advice

Help - I have read various threads regarding the above saddles, but thought I'd post my own issues !!!
I have tried an Amerigo DJ saddle (only on saddle horse and it's been on my horses back - without me on it) and I loved it, but can not afford a new one. Second hand ones are non existent, so have looked at other saddles - if anyone has one for sale, please let me know ....

Anyway, I used to have a K2 which was nice, but wanted to spoil myself and have super new saddle (special birthday present) and have seen the Kontrol Ultima on the internet. However none of the saddlers I have spoken to stock this model. I contacted Albion who said someone will be able to come and measure him up for one, but how am I going to know if the tree / panels, etc. will suit him if I haven't tried one.

Not sure if I'm mad . . .. has anyone else experienced this or can you recommend a good jump saddle that I can use for hacking and jumping ......

Sorry for waffling ..... but want to get excited about new saddle and it just seems to be causing me grief - there are too many options out there !!!!!

Where do you live?

I would suggest getting a saddle fitter to come out and recommend the best saddle both for your horse and you.

I personally LOVE Albion saddles, and our event mare has the Ultima Lightweight XC, but when I got my saddle fitter out the other day to a new pony for my daughter - the Albion pony GP that I had requested was SOOOOO wrong that she took it off her back immediately without even considering it.

We now have a non-branded 2nd hand saddle that is just right for the pony and my daughter for what they're doing now, and the're both very happy.

A good saddle fitter with a good range of new and 2nd hand is what you need to find!
