I am currently looking for an XXW saddle for my mare, my saddler will be fitting it (so dont worry!) but I just wanted your opinion on both of these and if they're worth it......

and this one

I am happy to pay this sort of money for something quality that fits, but just wanted your opinion before bidding.
My horse is not XX round but has no withers and back is very flat.

Any help please!

My horse is a 14.2 welsh D, I've spoken to my saddler who's also on the look out for a second hand XXW, I have quite a big bottom and she is quite short backed. He thinks a 16.5 inch would be ideal but my bottom could get away with a 16inch and her back could get away with a 17.5inch!

Sorry but what you have said doesn't make sense - if she is short backed 14.2 then she needs a small saddle 16 -= 16.5 - if your bottom is big then you need a large saddle 17.5 inch. 17'5 inch saddle is the normal size for an average 16hh + with an average size 12/14 rider. I would check with your saddler and see exactly what size he recommends, and the type. For larger bottomed riders on short backed horses I would normally recommend a square cantle as that allows more bum room in the saddle. i would also recommend adult flaps on a 16.5 saddle rather than child flaps as that allows more leg room.
