OKay, getting a new horsey if he passes vetting but he doesn't come with a saddle. I have a saddle for my pony (17.5 inch wide) but need a new one anyway.
So what saddle should i try? He is 4, 15.3 welshxTB, so probz medium-wide/wide, so is going to change shape, which is making me think i should probz get an adjustable one until he settles and stays the same then get a decent leather one?
Mine is currently a wintec but not keep on it so what other adjustable gullet ones are there?

Thanks

It's impossible to say really. What you need is a good fitter to come out (once you have the horse - I really hope that he passes the Vetting by the way :) ) that stocks various makes of saddles and see what fits best. An adjustable one is a good idea for a young horse. Thorowgood do adjustable saddles and lots of other makes are adjustable too.

Will look at some Thorowgoods :)

Reluctant to just say to saddler, find me a saddle, as the ones round here either tell you only a £1000 saddle will do the job or sell you a £100 broken and useless saddle that doesn't fit. But if you have a saddle that will fit okay they will fit it for you without too much bribing or hassle
