I was a member of the Forum back in the day (CruiseonAmiro) but haven't been for years after moving to New Zealand. Anyway, I'm looking for a saddle for my 6yo NZTB. Currently I'm riding him in my friend's Ideal Impala. It fits him (and also my sensitive mare), but I have to say I don't love riding in it. I'm wondering if anyone has owned an Ideal X-Ceed? There's one on Ebay I've got my eye on which is much cheaper than the Impalas. I really like a close contact feel (favourite saddle to ride in is a Dvx Biarritz, which also fits my horse but is out of budget) so another option is to consider the Impala in a monoflap.
We're really limited on options for saddle fitters out here, particularly ones which aren't tied to a particular brand. The Impalas also retail for 6k here, so I really need to import (and can't try before I buy). Thanks!
