Saddle - how much

How much would you pay for this saddle,
It's a couple of years old, 3rd hand i think, hardly been used but sadly not been taken care off, It was £2.500 new
Its an Amerigo

I took these the other day and have since oiled it and given it a good clean and it has darkened it alot and it doesn't look quite as bad.
The reason i ask is i feel they are asking alot for it, although after riding in i don't think i could send it back

i think its in really good condition and would say around the £800 ish mark

£1000~£1500 as long as the leather, stitching and tree were still sound.

I would say between £800 and £1200. However if it's a private sale I would probably go for the bottom end of this range. I can get a second hand Amerigo dressage saddle from my saddler which is in similar condition and they have priced it at £1100. However, if a private seller was to take it to a saddler to sell, they would either take a %age commision or buy it for a lot less, so you should get it for cheaper than the retail price. I thnk that £950 would be a fair price.

He has very kindly let me try it for a couple of weeks before i buy it, to make sure i like it.
