I have one to sell and would like to know who the maker is please

also can you confirm that the correct way to measure a saddle is from D ring to D ring and from D ring to cantel

thanks in anticipation

Not sure about the make as the previous poster has said, a picture might help.
As for measuring the saddle no, you don't mesasure it in that way. Firstly forget the dee rings or fall down staples.
Measuring between these at the front across the tree has no bearing what so ever on the width as trees vary SO much in shape and style, all tree makers have their own ideas of what is narrow, medium or wide that this way of measuring is a complete waste of time, yet depsite that people still do it in the false belief it gives them the width measurement!
It is mainly down to experience as to determining what width the saddle is if it isn't stamped on the sweat flaps. To find the measurement length ways, measure from the middle of the saddle nail in the top of the skirt back to the middle on the cantle, this is the correct way to measure a saddle. Never measure from the middle of the head (front) as saddles with cut back heads will give you a false reading.
If in doubt ask a Saddler to measure it up for you, hope this helps, Oz
