Saddle measuring and Le Parcours saddles... ???

This measurement between dee rings or fall down staples is not the way to measure a saddle, I don't know where people get the idea from!
The shape of the head of the tree can vary so much depending on style (ie, 1/4 cut back, 1/2 cut back. 3/4 cut back, full cut back, sloping head, straight head etc etc)
and to measure between these dee rings will give you a false reading. Every tree maker has their own ideas of narrow, medium and wide too which doesn't help!
The only sure way of seeing if a saddle fits correctly is to try it on, I never commit myself when asked if a certain sadle will fit, even if I suspect it will until I have seen it on the horse.
