saddle patch

Do you leave a saddle patch in or clip right out.

For me it depends on how thick a coat the horse grows. If it is a thick coat then I will take it off the first clip and leave it on afterwards. If it is a light coat then I will leave it from first clip.

I do not do the normal saddle patch but the racing one where the saddle flaps are taken off.

I leave a square patch on - small saddlecloth rather than numnah shaped. Numnah shaped ones never work IMHO as the saddle moves!

I whip the lot off, too lazy to faff about with the lines! Never had any problems with doing this.

Whip it all off , I have never had any problems.
