I have a saddle that was made for my high withered horse and so the pommel is also high . I have worn out the leather on the top through jumping (forward position causes my jacket to rub saddle) It looks to me to be a nightmare to repair but I am no saddler so I am hopeing someone can advise me.

I would imagine you would have to have the seat replaced? Seen it done on a well used riding school saddle, very nice job was done with good quality leather onto a gfs saddle and it's holding up better than the original seat.

FYI you can have just the pommel replaced by seaming across the narrow part of the twist.
Or
I've had many saddles reseated over the last 23 years by Matty Marlow saddle doctor/ hospital on ebay .
