Depends if you want to jump! I wouldn't be able to get my stirrups short enough to canter across fields, tracks, trot down roads and jump a fence of any size in my dressage saddle, but each to their own!

I know a few non-jumping types who hunt in dressage or showing saddles, but most hunt in a GP or jumping saddle.
