I have a Black Country saddle that I want to see, so have contacted Black Country to see how much they are currently going for. They where very helpful and said that if they had the serial number they can help with wording, and cost.

Well, she gave me directions to find the number, but I can't find it for the life of me. She said 'the serial number is stamped into the leather on the left hand side of the sweat flap'.

3. any one got a GP Black Country saddle and mind telling me how much they paid for it so I can roughly ask for a realistic price for a second hand one ?

Sweat flap is, I think, the flap that lies on the horse's side when it is on him. Under the girth straps etc. I would guess that LHS is as when you are on the saddle but why not just have a look and see if you can find it?

have looked EVRY WHERE on it and can not find, Hubby even humoured me and had a look !!!

I have had it 1.5 years and he had it when I loaned him, which was 3 years before so total in me knowing him have it is 4.5 years, before that I am not sure. It is in good condition.

just dont want to advertise it for too much and not get any interest. But then dont want to go too low as will be giving away for free as such.

Is only for sale as it has never fitted him and when I bought him was the first thing I had checked, by 2 saddlers, first said fine, second was hell no !!! now it is sooo obvious it does not fit him. have been cleaning it about 1 a month/2 months

Oooh how odd! Just checked mine and it is on the sweat flap LHS. Really can't help other than that as I'm not familiar with the saddle in question. Good luck!
