Evening - I'm having a clear out and i'm going to put a few things on ebay including a saddle. Quick question to anyone who has done so before, what measurements do I need to provide? Seat size - is it front to back or diagonal? Also, does anyone know if Morris & Nolan is a decent make? I know it did cost a fair bit when it was new.

Lastly can someone please tell me it's ridiculous to feel emotional about selling a saddle. Might have had hours and hours of fun on it in my teens but pony is now ancient, long since retired and the saddle doesn't fit anything I currently have. Could earn me a few quid to pay for something nice for her now. Silly old me. Thanks x

don't worry about putting the saddle on ebay. Of course it's going to be sad! these things always have some sentimental value. I'm not one to talk, I am a total hoarder...

As far as measurements go, I'm pretty sure you take the size measurement from the stud at the front to the centre point of the cantle, in a straight line. It's always useful IMO to state the width between the D rings at the front, in addition to saying whether it's M, MW, W etc to give an indication.

I've not heard of Morris & Nolan personally but that doesn't mean it's not good - I'm sure someone else will be able to help.

Good luck!

Thank you for your help. And thanks, I think i'd be a hoarder if I let myself but it's such a waste of a very comfy useful saddle. Sometimes I can just be such a softy! Am off for a quick cuddle with the actual pony before I hit the sack!
