I know about the standard metal ones, just wondered if anyone knew of any inventive or particularly useful ones? I have to keep my saddle at home so could do with something to put bits and bobs in as well that is tidy and not too big, portable would be good too.

Thanks.

Available from anywhere stocking stubbs

Amazing the amount of crap you can fit in it

How do you stop the saddle sliding off the saddlemate when you are on the move?
I tried it, and the inevitable kept happening, with my saddle ending up in a heap. Gave up in the end.

My saddle doesn't move on it

I put the saddle in cantle first and due to the shape of my boot it couldn't technically fall off. However it doesn't seem to slip either - I don't put a numnah in between, so the leather grips the plastic.

Plus driving a 4x4 generally with trailer on the back so no emergency braking or tight corners!
