Im needing a new saddle for my welsh d, im currently using a wintec 2000 on her but its slipping and hurting my back. She is five, a round barrel with not much wither. I no she will change shape and difficult to fit but wondered if anyone had any experiences. Thanks in advance

I have an Ideal 1350 GP on my cob fits great, I had an ideal H and C on the last cob who was really wide and that fitted well.

Today i have bought a Dever saddle which is actually an event /gp saddle but is quite straight cut and gives alot of freedom for movement, it is a wide no. 4( wide seat ) and fits him perfectly and it has a lovely hugging deep seat, made me feel very secure. I also have a balance which was very good, when it fitted but is now too narrow

I have one welsh cob and two Ideals -- a working hunter model which is tagged by my local saddler but in fact made by Ideal....and a Jessica for dressage. Yep love um. However, Native Pony Saddles are supposed to be good, too...

the ideal look nice and i think my local saddle fitter stocks. thanks everyone. Puccipony i saw the stand for native pony saddle at the highland show and wondered if anyone had any thoughts?

another flair liker- Frank is very bouncy as he is so short coupled and I can actually do sitting trot in it, not sure it would suit all but it suits us, you can see it compressing and expanding when I trot. Its an isabell pattern, so ideal but overstamped by a different saddler i think (its second hand)
