have a 16.3 tb who is pretty bouncy with a big movement for a tb,he is the typical high withered shape.Me - not exactly skinny ,tall in my upper body and pretty stumpy with my legs but I am quite long from my hip to my knee. I currently have a meadowcreek middleton gp (is more a wh as relatively staright cut with virtually no knee roll) . It is comfortable for me but doesn't help or give me any support so I am on the hunt for something new. Obviously I will get my saddler to fit and check anything and she is on the look out for me but I would like some personal recommendations.
I have seen a brand new Harry Dabbs event for a good price and my friend has an Albion style gp for sale .Have never ridden in either of these makes - good, bad, ugly?? I am in 18'' seat and don't think I can o any smaller and it has also been recommended that I try and stick with a flatter seat rather than a deeper seat so that I do get a true 18'' if that makes sense. I do try and do a bit of everything with the bouncy pony as well so thinking a gp or event type would probably be the better but any suggestions would be much appreciated

Have you considered an Albion K2 Jumping saddle?- they are wool flocked so better than the flat saddles (which sometimes can have memory foam or latex panels).

I'm the same as you in that my body is slightly taller than my legs and I'm only 5ft 4- as a rule I don't get on with Albions but the only Albion saddle I've ever liked was my K2 Jumping saddle on a T.B tree( Idon't have it anymore)- my horse who is also 16.2 and quite springy really liked it at the time, and had no problems in it. I've actually owned a Harry Dabbs event saddle, and IMHO it wasn't adjustable enough and was sitting to low on my boy who has quite big withers. Also a Meadowcreek event worked on him well as well which is more forward cut and has really big padded knee rolls. Also, Kieffers are supposed to be good on those with high withers although I've never tried one, as are Kent & Masters (Made by Thorowgood)- oh, and sorry I sound such a saddle geek!- but I've been having to explore all the options lately when getting a new dr saddle for my boy who has big withers too!!!!
