Seeing as I've had all my tack nicked, I'm going to need to buy a cheaper saddle to tie me over until I move into my new flat and get myself sorted.

Bearing in mind I had a lovely Barnsby GP (booo hoooo) what can I go for that will give me the deep seat and comfort (and stickability!)

I only really have about £300 to spend as I need to get a new bridle too.

Has to be black and I don't mind second hand.....or synthetic.

Thanks guys xxx

A wintec could be an option, or if it's only going to be a short time you could try something new like a Barefoot treeless saddle, this would be easier to sell on than the wintec. I have a thorowgood which are also great, I bought mine for £160 nearly new and they do fit nicely. If you want leather a local saddler may offer second hand tack and fitting?

Sorry to hear about the theft, hope it's recovered or insurance comes through soon,

As you know, dear daughter, i am also looking for a new saddle. On ebay, there is a seller called ajay321 who has really good feedback and does job lots. certainly good enough for interim.

If you want to sell if afterwards then i'd go for leather as it keeps it value. You can pick up leather ones for £300 VSD event types (obviously a bit older though)

HI,

I can recommend the Kinkade synthetic GP saddle, they are a very good fit for TBs mine needed a very minor bit of flocking from the saddler to raise the back slightly. They are only £120 from Rideaway. It is no comparison to the Barnsby but is very light and I don't find it uncomfortable.
