Saddle repairs, Essex

Can anyone recommend a saddler who repairs leather saddles in the Essex area?

I'm not sure if it will need sending off, I spoke to a saddler from another forum who said it shouldn't take long to do.

Sorry, I'm in Benfleet/Hadleigh/Southend area.

I'd rather not use Ingatestone but if it works out cheapest then needs must. Got a quote from West Essex Saddlery which is good but will take a lot to get there as it's over an hour away

West Essex are very good. I took my two in the trailer to the shop a couple of weeks ago to have the saddles checked and the adjustments were done and the saddles ready for collection the following week.


I have used Malcom for years and always been happy with the saddles and work he has done.

Very easy job that won't take long, any saddler can do this quite quickly on the spot, it's called Lacing In, as a price guide I charge £10 for lacing in the head but what others in your area may charge I don't know, Oz

It's a VERY common repair, done hundreds over the years!

I guess it's to be expected with the saddle it is, must be a good 10-15 years old, and well used but I love it, it's so comfy.
