My current yard situation has changed and it will feel bit odd moving from assisted DIY american barn school etc to a 2 stable yard with tack room and 2 exmoors. The lady is lovely and it just next door to horses current field. I am not bothered about lack of school as there is grass area for schooling and hacking is good. also field is being arranged so my horse has the option of coming in and out of his stable as he pleases and the lady said she didn't mind popping him in in winter when I am on a late shift....

My only concern and need to sort out is that as I ride a scooter I do not think it safe to transport saddle on it [unless anyone has an idea]. There is a tack room and it is locked but do not want it to be stolen and invalid on insurance....it is already security stamped so identifiable to me but just wondered if there were any other recommendations to security/lockers etc....

I am also excited as saving a lot of money from £60/wk to £80/calender month....still have to pay for feed etc but will save a lot!!!!!!! :D:D

Thank you in advance xx

Many, many years ago I knew someone who carried their saddle on their back when riding a scooter/moped. The saddle was in a saddle carrying bag and had straps that crossed over her front. A bit like carrying a back-pack really. It looked like the weight of the saddle rested on the bike on the saddle pommel.

If you thought this was an option you would probably need to get some suitable straps added to a saddle bag.
