Saddle selling question. Serial number?

This is not an advert so all I'm saying is my jumping saddle no longer fits.

I'm going to advertise it but I want to know if it is a good idea to include the serial number in the advert.

Most of the adverts/Ebay listings I've seen don't give the serial number and I'm wondering if there is a reason for this?

Why would you? Its not revelant unless a buyer intends to ask the saddler for info regarding it. Usually theres not enough time.

You could always give it out to those that ask.

I thought of putting it on the advert to prove it's authenticity, my saddler has suggested that this particular saddle is one that gets copied a lot.
