To buy new is a 14wk lead time and so far only found one second hand where they want close to new price for it (usual wear and tear).

It's not going to be a forever saddle so ideally don't want to buy new or wait 14wks.

Looking for k&m UNIVERSAL GP saddle 17" brown or would also consider the GPD version.

Any suggestions on where to look? Tried ebay and the 2nd hand k&m fb page. Have posted a wanted ad on fb pages.

Googled to see if any saddleries had stock and none have come up but I appreciate not everyone appears via google.

Any ideas where to try next?

Have you tried the likes of sheepham saddles, saddles direct etc. Also worth contacting the above as the sometimes have things in that they haven't advertised yet, or they can look for one for you.

Have a look on the Saddle Bank they sell a fair few Kent and Masters saddles.
I part exchanged my 17 inch Kent and Masters flat back saddle about 6 weeks ago, if that might do I can ask my saddler if she still has it?( We're in the West country) I suspect she will have sold it on by now but I'm happy to ask just in case ?

That's I've bought through them before but wasnt impressed. The saddle panels were totally flat and needed a total reflock. SB are already expensive for second hand (I dont grudge them making a living!) and I know you should get 2nd hand saddles reflocked anyway but the total made it in line with new.

To add insult to injury it went unused because I had a different saddle so when I offered it back to them in better condition (new unused flocking) they offered an absolute pittance. I know everyone needs to make a living and take their cut but I wasnt happy with how bad the flocking was, and that they would send out a saddle in the condition, so I wouldnt risk buying from then again.

I know saddles can be returned but then you are down postage both ways.

A user on here had a really bad experience with them and the customer service wasnt great. They appeared on here arguing the bit too so that didnt reflect well and made me even more wary of dealing with them.

Anyway, big long spiel but the short version is that I'd prefer not to deal with SB.

Thanks for your kind off but it is the universal GP that I need. I know that it fits. Had a bit of an unsatisfactory saddle fitter visit and because I'm a nu.pty bought a 17.5 in her say so. Having assessed it further and spoken with physio going back to a 17" would be better but my large backside is better in the universal than a standard 17 ?
