Saddle showing show

First showing show at Brook Farm

We only have a dressage saddle as my GP doesn't fit my wide Palomino cob. Can we use a dressage saddle in low level showing (Cob/coloured/handsome gelding classes).

I have a showing pelham and two reins but my cob goes really well in Neue scheue turtle top snaffle so can we use that or is a pelham expected (dont own a double bridle).

A dressage saddle is fine for showing and so if a snaffle. Use whatever bit you horse goes comfortably in. You don’t have to show in a double / Pelham at local level. Some open horses are shown in snaffles, it depends on the class and the society rules.

You can use any English saddle at low level showing.

I often use my dressage saddle as I prefer it to my showing saddle. A dressage saddle still shows the shoulder off. Good luck and enjoy.
