Had my 4year old for a few months, tried a few saddles from the saddler and the dressage wintec seems to fit him perfect with no problems.
As we want to jump him more now trying to get him a gp or jump but as young dont want a expensive till he has filled out and fully grown. So decided to try a wintec, had saddler check a friends one which shes not using and fitted. Took pony out jumping a few days later and got a sore on his back at back of saddle on his near side.
instantly stopped putting a saddle on and will not try again till 100% healed. Worry is that the sore started as a raised lump but today has got scabs and lumpy and very sensitive to touch, got vet out in a few days for other horse so will get her to check but has anyone had this happen? He dips his back if you touch his back.
Worry is that when we have to try another saddle he will have a weak spot? Any advice?
