Ok, so in preparation for this summer I decided to fork out and get a new saddle for my mare (having only ever had hand me downs and cast offs, fitted of course) I had a new one properly fitted, fits my mare like a glove and during my test ride was very very happy with it.
The problem is that since then I have noticed that my seat bones don't quite fit in the seat, almost seem to sitveither side, and over time it feels like my pelvis is spreading and its really quite painful! I am not a particularly large rider, and my horse isn't particularly narrow and I have never had this problem before. It's actually very uncomfortable after a short ride, and I dread to think what it will be like as fitness picks up and we go out further. I have now had it a month and ridden in it a few times so no chance of a return or exchange so would have to sell second hand and take a loss if I decided to change (obviously I would do that if need be) and also would need to find something else that fits my mare as well as this one does.
Has anyone else every had this problem? Is it something that I can fix with riding exercises or a seat saver or do I need to suck up the cost and get rid and buy something else that suits my 'conformation' as well as my horse?
Eagerly await replies!
