Hi, Im looking for ideas for how to store my saddle in my newly aquired tackroom :) At the moment theres nothing in there at all, Im looking for ideas other than put a saddle rack on the wall lol. The yard is secure but its obviously better out of site if possible. Im thinking some type of container where I can if possible lock it away.
Thanks

You can get large tack lockers you can screw to the wall and lock like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182312929477?ul_noapp=true or one of these http://www.surreyequestrian.co.uk/stablekit-saddle-minder-black.html which are like a standard saddle tack but you can lock the saddle on, remember to use security screws to attach it to the wall otherwise its a bit pointless. Tagging your saddle with smart water will make it much easier to recover if it ever is stolen, keep your original receipts and have up to date photos too.

I went through the same thing not wanting to really spend money, so bought cheap cupboards and stuck racks in them but it was never right. I finally went all out and got a locker. I adore it! Well worth the money.

Mines an extra wide one from animate did cost a bit but excellent customer service etc. I get my two 18” gp/dressage in it plus bridle and hat and body protector with loads of room left for the expensive bits and bobs I don’t want left out. Even a bucket or two!
