my daughters new pony came with a wintec saddle that fits pony perfectly but neither of us really like wintecs, and daughter finds it really uncomfortable.
unfortunately our lovely barnsby pony club saddle does not fit the new pony as she is super fine build (no breed on passport but looks like a shrunken thoroughbred!) and saddle was bought for our previous round little native pony.
we love the barnsby and it is only a year old and looks like new and would ideally like to trade it for something very similar but that actually fits her pony. cant really afford to pay much extra towards new one though and want to keep wintec just as a back up for re-flocking times etc.
dont really know where to begin with getting new saddle as local saddler who we originally bought barnsby from died recently. would think new pony is a narrow/medium fit but not really confident in buying new saddle without expert advise.
could sell barnsby and then find new saddler to buy from i guess, barnsby cost over £700 but has hardly been used and very well looked after so should have held its value quite well i guess? want it sorted asap as need new bridle too but dont want to go buy a black bridle and then end up only getting choice of brown saddle or vise versa. any ideas on where to sell/ exchange?

east sussex,
like i said though little wary of getting new saddler out as dont want to get low part exchange price on lovely barnsby and end up being offered something new that we cant afford extra cost of.

Why not try giving Hilary Vernon a ring, she fits and sells only Barnsy saddles and would probably be a good person to talk to about a trade-in or swap. Her number is 07775 851051 and she is very helpful.

you can try martin at penfolds, he is fantastic, and the have hundreds of saddles in stock so you can ring them and tell them what you are after and he will bring a selection with him.

I have a leather adjustable thorowgood I'd swap if that's of any interest, it's m/w at the mo but the gullet is changeable, bought it for £700 just under a year ago:
