saddle widths on ebay

when people describe there saddle width its so varied!!! Im after a dressage saddle and I have bates other saddles so try to go buy the gullets with them but some people say wide is the same size as narrow (when adding the measurements )
All very annoying all i want is a nice brown dressage saddle!!!!

If you're going for a saddle with changeable gullets, why not buy the easy-measure gullet guage, which will tell you which size gullet you will need for your horse.

that guage has proved to be very unreliable and I dont know any saddle fitter who actually uses one. Much better to try the gullet out on the horse's back and see if it fits/pinching/too wide etc.

Measurements should be from D ring to D ring.

too mean!! always borrow one and thats not the problem one person might say it measure xxx and its medium and then another might describe it as wide ???Have decided to go for another bates!! so much easier
