Ok, so what do I do with Monty's mane

A pic of the horse would help me decide. I am a very big fan of keeping manes un cut and long , but only if they grow in nice and lush. All of my horses grow in scraggly so they get cut short and thinned out. Well....when I get around to it anyhow!

They are generally left looking au-naturale. Not left too long though and often have a plait running down part of them. At least that's how all the ones I've seen are kept.

have to say Monts looks just like my boy - although mine has a stripe and is very dopey....
I would personal keep it trim...If you look at my pics he is looking a little straggley as I too am meant to keep it nautral for his showing...but he tends to look a little untidy so just pull slightly...
Good luck with his...he is beautiful...

HB - are you in Highclere or Kingsclere? I used to live in Ecchinswell not far from there.

Certainly am - based in Newbury and my horses are just near the swan pub - the old tudor building on the roundabout!! amazing...small world :0)
Tend to ride up on the downs put joined the highclere estate and now have a yearly pass to go around their 10 acres...
absoultely brill riding...
How did you get to be in the USA...?
I am trying to tempt my hubby that Canada would be a great place to live but he is not convinced...

Ahh well I was over a little bit from you so I rode mainly on Watership Down, although I did used to ride up Beacon Hill and follow the bridleways out to Salisbury Plain. Loved it there.

Oh yes I know the Swan well - sat in traffic jams many a time there trying to get up to blooming Tescos before the Bypass went in!!

Husband wanted to retire which is why we moved out here. Sold our place in England and bought the farm out here. Hubby never did really retire though as he ended up keeping his company in England, plus he has farm-duties to do LOL!! He loves it out here though, as do I.

To immigrate to Canada, you are looking at between 4 and 5 years wait right now....absolutely crazy and I can't understand why anyone would be prepared to wait that long to get into any country.
