Nothing wrong with her saddle!

No pressure points, no issues, no problems...

She has put on condition and muscle and broadened out a bit :D

Tried another saddle on her, which was lovely for me, but Dizz stalked round the school silently shouting "Get It Off!!", so I did . Daft bat. It looked fine, she just didn't like it.

So, saddler watched as we tacked up in the old saddle and set off round the school again, and Dizz was back to striding out and looking happier :)

The above only lasted for as long as the saddler was there lol. As soon as she left, Dizz decided it was her turn to leave the school. Cantankerous, argumentative batt!:rolleyes::p:D. She's suddenly taken to napping to the gate...:(:p:rolleyes: Can't be having that! Especially not when she starts throwing in some bronky bounces and some wickedly quick sideways moves lol, so a tap on the shoulder (rarely a tap on the bum - she'd probably put me over the hedge!) and suddenly she dcides that she is a happy hoss and started to work beautifully :D. Didn't manage much in the way of long and low, but did get a steady head carriage, on the bit, and soft and flexing :D :rolleyes::D:D

I love my hoss lol.

GN - ta hun :D. I so hope we do, it would be grand, especially with going to hoss camp... :D

LW - little spark! Blasted demented bouncy snorting animal lol. I think she was having fun - does an amazing passage, but it's always a pity that it happens when I'm asking for a trot (working, medium - I don't care, I just want us moving forwards at a decent rate lol). :D

SP - Yay indeed hun :D. She really is a dingbat :D. By the way, can't wait 'till I have time to play with her mane and make it look like the Spook's :D

C - thank you :D It's a nice change :D

SoO - ta hun :D Yup, don't mind the bounciness so long as it doesn't get dangerous and she'll come back to me :D. It was good to feel confident enough to have the discussion with her :D

Saddles make a huge difference, especially to sensitive souls (sounds like Dizzy is a sensitive soul, being the proud owner of another sensitive soul, I can recognise kindred spirits everywhere!). Glad she is happy with her actual saddle, at least you don't need to spend any money on a new one!!!

Just a thought from the other threads re bitting. I know you have tried a lot of different bits, but just to mention that Freddy (who also owns a small saddlery of bits by now) finally liked the rubber snaffle best. It seemed to give him something solid to lean on (leaning sounds like a bad thing but when you have a horse who holds himself behind the bit, leaning is a god send!!). Might be worth a try for her Dizzyness?

BB - I know, but I was so looking forward to a new saddle that was comfy for me as well as her Dizzyness-ship lol :D. Ah well, at least D is happy (seems to think that six saddles for three neds, one of which is retired, is about four saddles too many lol). Yup, she is a sensitive soul! Makes most people laugh, though I haven't managed to get the saddler to have a go on her yet (or the vet, or the physio, though the farrier might have a go lol). Hm. Will try the rubber, see what happens :D. The only other option is a Nathe, as that's the one they used when she went to the AHT for investigative work; they said she went pretty well in that. Just unearthed a load of bits in our house sort out... :o :D

SL - ta hun :D. We use Bridlepath International. They're based near Cambridge, but travel up here twice a week :). I like Laura :), even though she tries not to sell me a saddle even when I want to buy one! lol: she says she'll happily take money when it's the right time for the Dizz to have another saddle :D
