Saddlers in North East/Advice

Need to buy a first saddle for 4yo Welsh D. I'm looking for something synthetic/second hand because money is tight, but obviously I want it to fit. People suggest buying off ebay but I have no idea of the fit.

Can anyone recommend a good saddler, based Cleveland/North Yorks border near Yarm, who stock either synthetic or second hand saddles. I've heard bad things about several and now I'm a bit stuck.

When I lived in Stockton (many many years ago) we used David Sayer in Yarm or Priory saddlery at Guisborough. Haven't been to either in a very long time now so no idea whether either are still going.
