Could someone please recommend me a good saddler in Northern Ireland? I know there are not many qualified master saddlers and whichever saddlery I mention to my friends and neighbours, someone has always had a problem with them!

Robert (i think that's his name!) from Old Mill comes very highly recommended. He was a fantastic help for a friend when she had serious issues with another saddler- pm if you want the name. Roger Gordon also has a very good reputation.
 
Do you mean someone to fit a saddle or someone who makes saddlery?

I have great difficulty recommending anyone who fits, but Old Mill is probably your best bet. I can tell you where not to go!!

If you are wanting anything made, beautifully and very reasonably, then Rob Steinke at the Museum of the Master Saddler is great. He's just over the border in Leitrim.
 
I wonder, RR, if you might have negative reviews of the same person I am referring to.. based out Portadown direction? Anyway Robert from Old Mill was great with my friend and went far beyond what he needed to do to resolve the situation.
