Saddlers in Shropshire?

I'm new to the area (Market Drayton) and looking for somewhere/someone to get a saddle from for my welshy. Ideally second hand as he'll be changing shape as he's brought into work.

Any recommendations?
 
Depends whether you need a qualified fitter. Anne Dawson is a very good saddle repairer but not qualified to fit, (although I'm sure she could) she does have a selection of saddles for sale on behalf of clients. She is at Prees, not far from Drayton, and on the Master Saddlers list http://www.mastersaddlers.co.uk/ListMembers.asp. Otherwise Mel Lewis (also on the list) found me a good second hand saddle for my hard to fit wide WB. Good luck - call in and see us some time, just outside HInstock
 
I've used Ann Dawson once in the past but she isn't qualified. She is however very good at making bridles - I have a lovely one she made!

Used Mel Lewis in the past but wouldn't let her within 100yds of one of my horses now.

Used Andy Wheals on and off over the years and always end up going back to him. Never had any problems and he's fitted all of my horses so I don't know why I've ever bothered trying anyone else TBH.
