Hi, we're trying to find a saddle to fit our new jumping pony.
We took the pony to 1 saddle fitter but they didnt have anything to fit him. The saddle fitter was very good and at no time tried to palm us off with something that didnt fit (which some would've tried).
He's 13 2, extra wide and very flat.
Trouble is we need a 16" close contact saddle for jumping and maybe a gp or dressage for flatwork use as well.
Any suggestions on which saddler/fitter to try?
Someone suggested Andy Wheals but I phoned him and he's fallen off his horse and won't be working til end of October at least.
Anybody used David Sayer at Yarm? or Thinford Saddlery?
We're in the North East.
ps. forgot to say, we're using a friends old Wintec jump saddle at the mo but tried a new one and it didnt fit at all :-(
With the saddle fitter we tried a Bates close contact with a wide and extra wide gullets and some others.
