saddles *collapses on floor*

I have spent ALL DAY trying to find a saddle to fit lou that doesn't invade her shoulders or tips back.................i have tried over 40 .................yes 40 saddles and only one just about fits, it still tilts back a smidge and is on her shoulders a tad ( nothing too invasive) but I have gone from cheap english saddles to cob synthetics to saddles costing 1K and this is the best fit so far, I have totally cleared out my local tack shop!

She is still changing shape and is like an 18hh draught in front of the saddle, less muscle under the saddle and like a pony behind

so have settled with said saddle for now, just waiting for saddler to have a look and say it isn't terrible *crosses fingers* (allready got opinions from fellow liveries)

hey just a thought but why don't you trial a mondial industries holistic supreme saddle (google name) they are excellent for horses that are difficult to fit and they have different styles (I have the WH which gives plenty of room for shoulders).

2nd hand ones are probably your best bet as they are pretty expensive.

Sounds like your horse has similar fitting problems to my boy. He's very very broad and deep shouldered but is still young so not muscled on his back and he is a pony so short between his wither and loins. All the treed saddles I tried interfered with his shoulders but since I've got my Fhoenix he's a different animal... fits like a glove

Would love to get a saddle that nice.........but REALLY CAN'T afford one otherwise I'd have one allready

Lou will just have to make do for now, I have some lovely thick numnahs and thin saddle cloths so we should be ok.

I'm having my first ride and jump in the saddle tomorow....If she jumps nicely and softens up I should know if she's comfy lol.
