Yup, /still/ haven't managed to get the saddle fitter out, and getting desperate because Danny is really playing up now, and I'm 99% sure it's down to saddle as it isn't doing me any favours either! (one of them tips you right forward - instructor finds that too! and with the other I end up sitting on the pommel

Not fun!)

So, I have 2 saddles that I'm certain don't fit, and aren't going to fit even though they're bates so have the changeable gullets...

I can either:
- Hang onto both, get saddle fitter out to check that they definitely don't fit, and most likely have to fit a saddle then me have to wait anyway until I sell those two...
or
- Stick both up for sale now, and horse can have a fortnight or so off and use the money to *hopefully* buy a new saddle when the saddle fitter comes out!
or
- someone come up with a better idea!

Getting really stressed now, and worried, and it's not doing anyone any good

Any ideas MUCH appreciated, you can have whatever you like if you get through that

Stick them on ebay (bates and wintecs sell well there!) and give him time off. If he's got a sore back from the saddles he'll need that time off anyways. Spend it longreining and lunging to build up his muscles again. Plus selling your saddles will give you money to buy a new one.

Thanks (:
Very true... think he's going to have to have some time off being ridden for a few weeks at some stage either way but will only be able to lunge/long-rein a few times a week (have to pay to hire the indoor if I want to do that...)

Just hoping the saddler can come out asap!
