saddles direct?

Does anyone have any experience with buying or selling saddles through this site, i hvae an albion event saddle that i want to part exchange for a dressage saddle. Do they actually give you a good price for saddles or is it better selling it private? Any comments would be helpfull

always get a better price selling privately - whether it's cars, horses or saddles - than part-ex. They will pay you trade and sell retail

having said that, they're very fair, easy to deal with and nice people!

you can advertise your saddle privately on their website too

They are very picky about what saddles they will take. But saying that, if yours is an albion, you should be ok.

I have always found them very helpful and very good. Sold a k2 jump to them for an ok price. They didn't want my old Albion legend dressage though, was too old.

Generally though I like them a lot.

I asked for a price on my Albion kontact which was worth £1500 new, about 18 months ago. They offered £550 so I put it on Ebay and got £850. I'd try elling privately and then buy from them rather than do a part-ex. Good luck.

Be aware they take 40% commission of the sale if you sell your saddle through them.

I got a good price offered for mine (£550) but after commission that leaves me with £330
