Hello everyone

Reading about saddles, specially the Mondial Holistic and the Barrie Swain Semi flex, I was very curious on these new flexible tree saddles, but haven't been able to figure out how they work and how come they are better then conventional tree saddles distributing weight. I understand that bending laterally will be more flexible on the horse, but if they also bend vertically while bearing weight, the part that has the most pressure will be the only one exertion pressure on the horse's back, as hence the weight is not distribute properly. As an example:

1 The Mondial (flex tree saddle) as a central part where the stirrups are fixated, so on the rising trot, all the weight will be pressuring down on the horses back on that unique part. How is this better?

2. On the Barrie Swain it explains on the web site "SemiFlex tree flexes from front to back when the rider sits, and the points flex in and out with the horse's movement", so while sitting the all weight will be on the centre pressuring the horses back? Please explain.....

I'm not a physicist but from the few things I remember from school see my file attached with my "home made" scheme trying to explain my questions concerning flexible trees.

Can someone explain it to me:confused:

Thank you :)
