My saddle is supposedly an 'event' saddle although i am not sure it is and think it may just be a gp or show saddle.

Am trying a jumping saddle on Blue tonight, wondering if its going to make any difference to our jumping?

Will it change my riding much?

ermmmm, i dont think jumping saddles really change your riding...im very long hip to knee as well as being fairly tall so i was always over the knee rolls on a gp..a jumping saddle has just been more accomodating:)

It will probably make a difference to your position and balance - a proper jumping saddle should put you in the correct position so in that respect it should help your riding.

... but it might not give you the support of your GP, close contact/shallow seats need a balanced rider with a jolly good seat!

What I mean is... you may fall off if not used to them!

Not sure exactly haven't taken a close look at it! Its got big squishy and soft knee pads and is an awful tan colour. Will check what make later tonight when i try it!

Its B's saddle cost about £800 i think and its never used, he was going to buy a GP to jump in as the jumping one doesn't fit his horse so i suggested he has mine to jump in and i try his jumping one and see how we get on!!
